The world’s first footage was recorded by Auguste and Louis Lumière using their patented cinematograph on 19th March 1895. Earlier that year, the brothers had demonstrated movie technology.
Auguste Lumière and Louis Lumière are considered to be the first filmmakers in history with their Sortie de l’usine Lumière de Lyon (1895) being the world’s first film.
