First docking of manned spacecrafts performed

The first ever manned docking of spacecrafts was performed in space by Soyuz 4 and Soyuz 5 of the Soviet Union on 16^th January 1969. This was also the first time crew from one craft was transferred to another which was accomplished by space walk.
