Deep Blue, a chess playing supercomputer developed at IBM, won its first game against a world champion, Garry Kasparov, on 10th February 1996. However, in the six-game match, Kasparov won three and drew two, which helped him defeat the computer 4-2.
The next year, Deep Blue beat Garry Kasparov by winning 3-and-a-half games against the champion’s 2-and-a-half.
