The Wright Brothers (Orville and Wilbur Wright) and department store owner Max Moorehouse undertook the world’s first airfreight shipment on 7th November 1910. The package was sent from Dayton, Ohio to Columbus, Ohio!
The Wright brothers had made their first public flight on 8th August 1908 at Le Mans, France, though they are more famous for the first controlled flight at Kitty Hawk on 17th December 1903.
