Entire Beatles catalog released on iTunes

16 November, 2010

The entire Beatles catalog was released on Apple iTunes on 16 November 2010. Apple had been involved in a lawsuit with the Beatles for many years because of the similarity in the names – the Beatles owned “Apple Records”. In fact, the famous Apple alert sound was so named by engineer Jim Reekes because of the constant pestering by the attorneys of the music band.

FYI, The last album of the Beatles, Let It Be, was released a month after the hugely popular music group had disbanded.
