Earthlink login – check email account

Earthlink is an Atlanta based Internet Service Provider (ISP) with close to 2 million subscribers. It offers both dial-up and high-speed internet access. Most plans come with 8 email addresses; thus, everyone in the family can have a private email account accessed with a separate username and password. On this page I shall provide a quick introduction to the Earthlink login page and give you tips on how to use the web-based email service.

The Earthlink login page is located at webmail.earthlink.net. To open the email account, enter the full email address (or the Earthlink ID) and the password in the corresponding fields. FYI, this page can also be used to access other Earthlink properties such as Mindspring.com.

First time users: Please remember that an email address needs to exist before you can use the Earthlink login page to access the messages. Read how to create Earthlink email for details. If this indeed is the first time you are at the login page, use the Earthlink ID or the primary email address to sign in, after which the service will ask for your name; enter your real name as this is what recipients will see in the “From:” field at their accounts.

Note: Do not check “Remember my login on this computer” on public or shared machines such as those in libraries and Internet cafes.

On successful sign in via the Earthlink login page, the webmail interface will be displayed in your browser window. It consists primarily of two columns or panes. Though there are many advantages of an Earthlink account, I seldom advice using an ISP email as the primary address for correspondence. This is especially true for those who frequently relocate or change the service providers. An account from popular free email service providers is more suited for such people.
