The Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company changed its name to International Business Machines Corporation on 14th February 1924. The company was founded on 16th of June 1911 in Endicott, New York.

Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company was created by an amalgamation of three companies, one of them was originally set up by the inventor of the punched card calculator, Herman Hollerith.
