Asteroid Vesta discovered.

29 March, 1807

Asteroid Vesta was discovered by German physician and astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Matthias Olbers on 29th March 1807. The astronomer let German polymath Carl Friedrich Gauss name the heavenly body. Olbers is known for discovering the second asteroid, 2 Pallas, five years before.
