Asteroid 15 Eunomia discovered

29 July, 1851

Asteroid 15 Eunomia was discovered by Italian astronomer Annibale de Gasparis on 29th July 1851. de Gasparis discovered a total of 9 asteroids in his lifetime. Though he also discovered a tenth one, 14 Irene, independently of John Russell Hind, the credit for the discovery is generally given to the latter.
