The Apple Lisa personal computer was announced on 19th January 1983. The device had a graphical user interface with an attached mouse – technologies, which Steve Jobs had got licensed from other companies.

Lisa was named after Jobs’ daughter, as per an interview by Walter Isaacson, though it was generally considered an acronym – Local Integrated System Architecture. The routinely used computer features of cut-copy-paste were popularised by Apple Lisa.
