1 billionth song downloaded from iTunes

The 1 billionth song, “Speed of Sound” by Coldplay, was downloaded from Apple iTunes Music Store by Alex Ostrovsky on 23^rd February 2005. As a reward, Alex received 10 fifth generation iPods, a 20″ iMac, a $10,000 iTunes Music Store gift card, a scholarship in his name at the Julliard School of Music and a call from Steve Jobs.
