William Kennedy Dickson died on 28 September, 1935

Scottish inventor who, while working for Thomas Alva Edison, invented the Kinetoscope, an early motion picture camera. He was also the producer and "star" of the first motion picture shown to a public audience, the 3-second long Dickson Greeting which has him passing a hat in front of his body.
