American puzzle creator and editor. He is the founder of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament and the World Puzzle Championship. He has written or edited over 100 books primarily of puzzles of various kinds.
FYI, the first crossword was published on 21st December 1913; the puzzles were invented by Arthur Wynne.
