PSP text effects (Version 5 and above)
Here we'll beautify our glowing text made in the previous tips (Creating glows in Paint Shop Pro and colored glows Colored glows in PSP) by adding some bevels and gradients.
Making the text with glow
Follow the steps described in the previous tips BUT DO NOT DESELECT THE FINAL IMAGE. This helps us add additional effects to the selected region.
Adding gradients
My final image from tip on creating colored glows just before deselection looks like the one below:

Filling the selection with a gradient
My foreground color is R=0, G=92, B=178 or #005CB2 and background is white (R=255, G=255, B=255 or #FFFFFF).
Click the fill tool
. We now need to work in the Control palette. If it is not already open, click on its toggle buttton

Select Linear Gradient from Fill Style and click on Options button.

In the Flood Fill Options window, select Normal from Blend Mode drop down and set the Direction to 0 degree. Click "Ok" to proceed.
Click on the selected region of the image. In my case, I had to individually click the four alphabet.

(Note: This effect is applied twice, once with white as shadow color and then with black as shadow color. For details, go through the Making beveled text in PSP tip.)
After deselection, my image is

Adding glow, gradient and bevel
