Creating PSP picture tubes

(PSP Version 5)

Introduced in version 5.0 of the software, Picture Tubes are a special feature of Paint Shop Pro. Instead of a color you use a picture to paint over an image. A Picture Tube can consist of a single image or a series of images.

Step 1
Start Paint Shop Pro and open a new RGB image 200 X 200 pixels in dimension, transparent background.

Step 2
Click on File - Preferences - General Program Preferences... and then on Rulers and Units. Change the Horizontal Spacing and Vertical Spacing to 100 pixels each.

Step 4Each square area enclosed by the grid represents a cell. There are 4 cells in our image.
Now is the interesting part. Draw a different colored square in each of the cells.
