Create AOL email signature

Just like other popular email services, you can create an email signature in AOL too. An email signature is small bit of text that is attached at the end of each message you compose or reply to. No further intervention is required once such a feature is set up at your AOL account. Typically, email signatures contain name and contact details including web site URL and any additional email addresses.
In this article, I shall provide instructions on how to make a simple but effective email signature for your AOL account. The steps have been worked out in the free Chrome web browser running on a Windows 7 computer.
Instructions to create an email signature at AOL account
Before you go about the actual process of creating the email signature, decide what you want to include in it - read that article for tips and ideas. By the way, you can always change the email signature later if not satisfied with your earlier creation!

- The AOL email signature option is located under "Settings" - click the link (close to the top right) [Slide 1].
- Move to the "Compose" section - [Slide 2].
- Assuming you don't have one at your account, click the "No Signature" button and select "Use signature" - [Slide 3].
- This opens a large text box with a toolbar at the top - [Slide 4].
- The toolbar has many options. For instance, you can choose which font to use in the email signature or the color of the text - [Slides 5 and 6].
- First type the email signature and then start playing with the toolbar features. Slide 7 shows a simple signature I created for my AOL account.
- To put emphasis on something (your name, for example), select the text (click and drag the mouse cursor over it) and then hit the "B" icon to have it displayed in bold. Similarly, you can increase the font size and change the color as well. [Slides 8, 9 and 10].
- Web site addresses can also be included in the AOL email signature. Select the text and click the "Link" icon from the toolbar - [Slide 11]. This brings up a small pop-up. Enter the full web address in the blank field and click "OK"; it's a good idea to put the http:// prefix in the URL. Voila! Link created! [Slide 12].
- The eagle-eyed would have also noticed that with the "Link" feature one can include an email link too.
- Scroll down to save the email signature you've created - [Slide 14].
- To see how it works, click on the "Compose" button. The AOL email signature will be displayed in its full glory in the blank email form. [Slide 15].
