AOL email stationery

AOL email stationery can be applied to all messages you compose - new ones, replies and even forwards. As in the case of Yahoo email stationery, in just one click, messages can be spiced up with images and colourful backgrounds. At the time of writing Hotmail and Gmail, the other popular free email services, do not offer email stationery.

AOL email has tons of stationery that is immediately accessible from the plug-ins bar. You'll find a wide selection that includes stationery for holidays, special occasions or those that can be used simply for fun. Let us see how we can work with this simple and interesting feature at the AOL email account.

How to use AOL email stationery

Assuming you've logged into your account successfully, click on the "Compose" button to get a blank email form - [Slide 1].

If you are seeing this text, you need to install the Flash player and turn JavaScript on in your browser.

  • From the plug-ins bar, select the AOL stationery icon [Slide 2]. Or you can click the button in the AOL email toolbar (right on top of the large message composition text box).
  • The panel now opens up showing the featured email stationery - [Slide 3].
  • To view more, click on the "Featured" button at the top. Pick an option from the drop down menu to list all the email stationery in that category - [Slide 4].
  • Once your mind is made up, just click on the stationery thumbnail to have it immediately applied to the email message - [Slides 5 and 6].
  • Not satisfied by the way your message looks, no problem. Simply click on another AOL stationery thumbnail.

Note: Different AOL email stationery templates not only change the images and the background color but also the starting position of the email text content.

As I mentioned above, AOL lets you use email stationery to replies and forwards too. Again, open the feature from plugins bar and pick one you want by clicking on it once. The stationery is immediately applied to the email message.
