On 31st July 2009, Mozilla’s Firefox crossed the 1 billion mark. FYI, the popular free web browser holds a Guinness World record for the largest number of downloads in 24 hours – Firefox 3 had been downloaded by more than 8 million people on 17th June 2008.
The next version, Firefox 4 broke the record but that wasn’t recognised as no Guinness official was present to monitor the servers.
