I forgot my email address. Is there a way I can get it back? I’m not sure what to do. Please help me out. Thanks

I’m quite astounded by the number of emails I get on this issue – at least a couple each day. Though it does surprise me (as it would most readers) – how can someone forget their email address? – I suppose it does happen and so here are a few tips to help you recover it.

Have you ever used that email account – sent a message to someone?

If you’ve sent a message to someone from the account, you can ask them what the email address was. I obviously assume that the recipient has retained your email message (and not deleted it) and that you can contact them via the phone (or face-to-face).

By the way, recovering a forgotten email address will not guarantee account access – you also need the correct password. Because there are so many different types of email accounts it’s not possible to provide step by step instructions to retrive a forgotten email password. I suggest visiting the following links for more information:

Now this is a much easier issue to handle. Why? To quote an adage – you’ll never miss something you never had! So if you haven’t used the email account at all, why do you have a sense of ownership?

Anyway, all you need to do is to create a second email address. For instance, you can quickly get an email address from free services like Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail. And if you feel that it’s going to raise flags – BAH! – none one is bothered how many email accounts you create.

Below are links to articles with detailed instructions on how to create email accounts on the three most popular services:
