Did you ever use that email account – sent a message to someone?

If you had ever sent a message from the account, contact the person and ask them for your email address. I obviously assume that the recipient has retained your email message and not deleted it and that you can get in touch with them either via phone or face-to-face.

By the way, recovering a forgotten email address will not guarantee account access – you also need the correct password. Because there are so many different types of email accounts it’s not possible to provide step by step instructions to retrive a forgotten email password. Now this is a much easier issue to handle. Why? To quote an adage – you’ll never miss something you never had! So if you never used the email account, just forget about it.

Simply go ahead and create a second email address. You can quickly get an email address from free services like Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail. And if you feel that it’s going to raise red flags – BAH! No one cares how many email accounts you create as long as you don’t use them to send spam.

I have used my account before but can’t seem to find a record of any one who may have kept an email from me. Is there anyway of looking up my old email account? I was absolutely sure that the address I have been entering was valid (Hotmail account) but it doesn’t seem to be working. I need to access this account and don’t want to lose what subscriptions I’ve made to this account.

Monica, one last resort if you’ve completely forgotten the email address (and since you cannot find any one who’s kept a record of your address), is to check the services that you’ve subscribed to from this Hotmail account. Most probably you’ll find the email address in the ‘Accounts’ (or equivalent) page.

I know that it’s funny to forget your email address but i have lots of them. So it’s easy to forget. My email address was my Facebook’s. I signed up with it. So i can’t login and it’s important.

I know you don’t have to find a way to find my email address. But i’ll be so happy if you figure it out.
