I don’t remember my Yahoo account – the email address or my password. I have not used Yahoo since it was installed but would like to start using it now.

Needless to mention, this query is from a complete beginner. If you don’t remember the Yahoo account, whether the email address or the password, and you had never used it before, get a new Yahoo email address.
Yes, it’s that straightforward. You can simply ignore the old account. By the way, if you hadn’t used the previous Yahoo account for about 120 days, it would have been deleted anyway!

You don’t need to fret over the thought of owning two accounts because there is nothing stopping you from getting a second Yahoo email address – I’m sure there would be hundreds of thousands of subscribers who have one account for personal use and the other for business. I don’t think Yahoo would consider it an abuse of its services – far from it! All popular email services would love to have more and more members. For those who have been using a Yahoo account but don’t remember the email address (highly unlikely) or the password (quite common), I suggest you read the following two articles.

You can recover the Yahoo account password by either having the information sent to the alternate email address provided at the time of sign up or by answering the two security questions. If neither of these work for you, I suggest contacting Yahoo support over phone because they are the only ones who can help you now.
