Shift email address and move an email account

What is the process of moving an email account? I want to shift my email address from Hotmail to Gmail. Is this even possible and, if so, is it easy? I would like to know your take on this issue.

Moving an email account from one service to another (or even the same one), is quite like relocating to another residence. Yes, it’s feasible… but is it easy? The answer depends on how desperate you are to shift the email address as well as your proficiency with computers. Comcast incoming outgoing server
I have been using a Comcast email on a Windows XP desktop. How can I set up the same on my Windows 7 laptop? Would I need the Comcast incoming and outgoing mail server? Can my email to be accessed from both these computers -is this possible? Lots of questions – apologies – but I am quite confused as to what has to be done.

Hotmail was probably the world’s first service to offer free email accounts. It was started by a couple of young entrepreneurs and soon bought over by Microsoft for an astronomical sum of money. Hotmail, now known as Windows Live Hotmail, has hundreds of millions of users spread around the globe.

Get Hotmail email on Gmail

In an earlier post I described two methods by which you can link email accounts – Gmail to Hotmail. You could either forward messages or add the Gmail account to the MSN email service. However, today, I shall tell you how to accomplish the opposite; i.e. get Hotmail email in your Gmail account. You would then be able to save time and check messages from a single account.
